Key Responsibilities

Position Overview 

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Cloud Architect with strong DevOps capabilities to join our growing Data & AI department. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain cloud-native data and AI platforms for pharmaceutical and life sciences manufacturing clients.  You will work in regulated (GxP) environments, meaning your platform designs must meet the highest standards of security, auditability, and compliance. 

Key Responsibilities 
  • Design and implement cloud platform architectures on hyper-scale cloud providers for data and AI workloads in AWS. 

  • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform templates to enable repeatable, auditable, and version-controlled environment provisioning 

  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for data engineering, ML model deployment, and infrastructure workflows 

  • Establish platform standards for networking, identity and access management, secrets management, and data encryption aligned with pharmaceutical regulatory requirements (GxP, GAMP5, 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11) 

  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting strategies to ensure platform reliability and incident traceability 

  • Design multi-environment strategies (dev, staging, validation, production) that support formal qualification and validation processes common in pharma IT 

  • Collaborate closely with data engineers, ML engineers, and delivery managers to ensure platform capabilities meet project and client needs 

  • Contribute to platform security, including network segmentation, private endpoints, role-based access control, and compliance with client-specific security policies 

  • Participate in pre-sales activities by contributing to technical proposals, architecture diagrams, and effort estimations 

What You Have to Offer 
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field 

  • Experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps with at least 2 years in an architecture or lead role 

  • Deep expertise in at least of the hyper-scale cloud platforms (AWS is a must) 

  • Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) 

  • Proven experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines 

  • Solid understanding of containerization (Docker, K8s) and when to apply it
